New GEP Request Form

Submitting a Game Event Provider (GEP) request just got a lot easier. We’ve launched a new GEP request form that collects all the key information our team needs to process your requests faster and more accurately.

While you can still request new GEPs via our Discord forum, please make sure to include the extra details now reflected in our updated guidelines. This will help us better understand your needs and prioritize your requests.

Gamescom 2025

Gamescom 2025 is on the horizon and will take place from August 20th to August 24th in Cologne, Germany. As in previous years, Overwolf will have a strong presence at the event - including our own booth - and we’re already looking forward to connecting with the developer community in person!

If you plan to attend and want to schedule a meeting, please contact your Developer Relations Manager. We’ll share more details as the event approaches.

New Ad Unit

We’ve added support for a new ad format: 728x90 banners. This horizontal unit is designed to be non-intrusive while giving you an opportunity to earn incremental revenue alongside your existing ad formats.

The new unit can be placed at the top or bottom of your app interface, making it easy to integrate without disrupting the user experience. It’s a great way to boost earnings without impacting usability!

Developer Console Survey

We’re running our quarterly Developer survey and would love to hear from you!

🏆Quest Complete - Recent Victories and Milestones

• Overwolf Native Version 0.273 - Additional functionality and design to the Packages window (now named Applications). Check the notes here.
• Overwolf Electron Version 31.7.8 - We have done some ad management fixes and improvements. Check the notes here.
• Overwolf Documentation - Added improved documentation for enabling and using developers tools, added `overwolf.version` API, added new documentation for Performance Ads, and more! See the full update here.
• New Games - We have added support for 82 new games! Look up the complete game list.
• Game Events - New game events for Monster Hunter Wilds, Escape From Tarkov, and more! Our roadmap lists all important GEP releases. See the various changelogs for released events here.

🏹On The Hunt - Ongoing Efforts and Progress Updates

• New trending game: R.E.P.O. - This online co-op horror game in the style of Lethal Company released at the end of February is holding strong at Steam top sellers, with 24h peaks of 200K players! In Overwolf it’s located 5th on our most played games in both daily and monthly rankings.
  
  We've already enabled basic events for R.E.P.O.! Find them here.
• Upcoming Game Events - We are working to add new game events for Overwatch 2, LoL, PUBG and R6 for Electron, and more! See upcoming events here.
• The Right Events for Apps - Found a game you want to make an app for, but there are no events? Let us know by posting a request in our Discord requests forum! (make sure you have joined our Discord community to get access).
