Gamescom 2025 Summary
We had an incredible time at Gamescom 2025, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the developers who met with us. From long-time partners to brand-new faces, the event was packed with meaningful conversations and practical outcomes that are already turning into action items.
Our booth was lively as usual, with its now-traditional Happy Hour, providing a fun, relaxed space to wind down and connect with developers and partners. Aside from conducting 181 meetings, our wolves handed out 1,440 soft drinks and 1,000 stickers and pins!
We're already integrating your feedback, use cases, and product ideas into our next quarter, and we’re excited to keep that momentum going.

LoL Season 3 Policy Changes
With Season 3 of League of Legends right around the corner, Riot has introduced new guidelines that will affect the functionality of many third-party apps. Please make sure to review and act on these changes before August 27, 2025.
Features that must be removed:
- Notifications that alert power spikes (e.g., "X champion has hit level 6")
- Notifications that suggest game decisions (e.g., "Gank top lane now!")
- Tracking enemy ability or summoner spell cooldowns
- Displaying minor rune data
These changes aim to preserve competitive integrity and gameplay balance. We’ve updated our Riot Compliance documentation to reflect these new policies and provide guidance.
Please notify your Developer Relations Manager once your app has been updated. If you’re unclear about any requirements, don’t hesitate to reach out.

- Exciting Upcoming Games:
- 2XKO - This free-to-play fighting game from Riot promises explosive 2v2 gameplay and fast, intuitive controls while featuring characters from LoL. Scheduled for release sometime in 2025, 2XKO is definitely one of the most anticipated fighting games of this cycle.
- Battlefield 6 - Just closing its two open beta weekends with a bang, this next in line for the Battlefield series shows great promise, with players comparing it to successful titles like Battlefield 3 and 4. Set to release on October 10th this year, Battlefield 6 is already holding firm at #5 top wishlists on Steam with over 200K followers, and just shy of 1M players on Overwolf during Beta.
- ARC Raiders - This upcoming new extraction shooter set to release on October 30th brings its unique take on the genre, with a third-person camera, PvPvE approach, and 30-minute raid structure. The successful playtest for the game earned it the #7 spot on Steam’s top wishlists and overwhelmingly positive feedback from players.
- Upcoming Game Events - We are working to add new game events for Delta Force, PUBG, and more! See upcoming events here.
- The Right Events for Apps - Found a game you want to make an app for, but there are no events? Let us know by posting a request in our Discord requests forum! (make sure you have joined our Discord community to get access).
