AI Coding Tools: MCP Integration Is Live
Your AI coding assistant can now access Overwolf's type definitions and documentation directly, without you switching context or copy-pasting docs. The new MCP integration gives tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and others real-time access to the Overwolf ecosystem, so when you ask about the Overlay package, game events, or the Ads SDK, the answers are grounded in actual Overwolf documentation.
Whether you are integrating the Overlay, working with game events, or navigating the Ads SDK, this should make your development workflow noticeably faster. Setup takes a few minutes.

Desktop Apps Are Now Official Premium Supply
Jounce Media, one of the most trusted names in programmatic measurement, published a report this month formally labelling desktop apps as premium ad inventory. A few numbers worth knowing:
- 11% of all web bid requests now come from desktop apps, larger than any single website
- 89% of desktop apps in this category (215 of 241) are exclusive to Overwolf
- 68% of the total category supply is driven by Overwolf apps
- Jounce confirmed that Overwolf apps only refresh ads when the app is open and in view
Jounce's advice to advertisers was clear: desktop apps are a premium supply and a growing opportunity, and they should buy from trusted sellers. Overwolf was specifically named as that trusted seller. That designation matters for how brands allocate their budgets, which directly affects your fill rates and CPMs.
Brand Partnerships: June Highlights
June was a massive month for Overwolf: we took the stage at Cannes Lions, launched two high-impact campaigns, and brought home three major awards.

- Cannes Lions 2026: We repped Overwolf on stage alongside giants like Havas, Omnicom, Mondelez, and the MrBeast Company to discuss the future of attention and non-traditional inventory.
- In-Game Campaigns: We launched Accounting + "The Desk" in Fortnite (a playable accountant tycoon role) and a Superloop Contextual Ping Overlay (triggering a provider-switch option the moment a player's ping spikes past 80).
- Award Wins: Our Nobody 2 x Fortnite campaign with Universal Pictures took home 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze at The Drum Awards 2026 (EMEA & Americas).
